Lanvin Resort 2021

I mean, even the photography is like their menswear lookbooks from 2015/2016.

Is it just me or does he change the anesthetics every season? It is very JWA's Loewe indeed, but there's something off, and I can't quite put my finger on it... It is difficult to see anyone actually wear these clothes, maybe?

The clothes are great but the imagery is very Loewe indeed. I wonder if he will manage to move on from the Loewe aesthetic. It’s very difficult I guess as he contributed a great part in it.

That being said, it’s very beautiful and it’s great to see someone move on from Paris.

On half on the pictures, I can’t help but ask “Where are the clothes?”

On the other half, I can’t help but ask “Why even bother?”

The location is stunning but it's supposed to be the background to your clothes not the other way around.

Who honestly cares about this brand anymore? Who buys anything at Lanvin since Alber's departure? It's an irrelevant brand.

As if that wasn't bad enough, they choose that eyesore of a location to sell a collection that I will forget about in two minutes. Blah.

This reminds me so much of JW's earlier lookbooks for Loewe. I just can't get over how similar everything is.

He needs to create his own identity if he wants to bring this brand back to life.
