I styled the purple jeans last night with my new black cap-sleeve blouse (with eyelet yoke), and my Miu Miu peep toe black suede heels. We sat on the restaurant patio in 100-degree heat, and I think I needed a ribbon to tie my hair back It's now officially long enough for a ponytail ... no haircut since the pandemic.

Sounds like a really nice outfit. Are hairdressers in the US still not open? In DK I think they were only closed down for a month or so.

^ No, they are open in my state, but we also don't have a very smart governor. I'm trying to just do what I think is really necessary. I've had two pedicures--that I felt was a necessity! I think both times I'd broken a nail and needed them to fix it ... My state is among the worst.

I got myself a new wallet - the zipper on the old one broke. Was a bit on the fence about the quality until I realized that I had the old one for five years.. The new one is the same design, but a different colour.

I had my old wallet restored, but gave that to a friend when hers broke. I do have another that I'm using as a pouch in my purse right now. I will probably eventually use that as a wallet again.

How do you guys distribute your purchases for the season? I normally never buy more than one item at a time and prefer buying one item a month or so. I have never tried buying everything on my shopping list or the season at once as I find that I make better purchases buying one thing at a time. Just curious to know how you go about it as I just found out that my winter coat doesn't fit , neither does my boots. I purchased a few things on my list above this month and was planning to buy the bag next month, but now I am considering checking everything of the list. I mean, I will need shoes and outerwear If I'm planning to leave the house..

Yeah, I probably won't buy everything at once, but probably the boots, bag and coat within the next month or so as it will be cold by then and I am out of options guessing it won't lead to any mistakes as all are well considered and (at least for the coat and the shoes) necessary purchases.

I decided against the plaid shirt dress on my aw shopping list. I was drawn by its versatility but looking at my wardrobe I prefer something more detailed. I've bought a black broderie anglaise dress instead which is still versatile but a lot more feminine. Really loving this brand ATM as their styles are feminine, easy and sustainable (and non-maternity yet bump friendly). I've already worn it with both the new sandals and with boots. I also finished the green cardigan, which works great with the dress. Will start knitting the beige cardigan today.

I ended up ordering a wallet last night, primarily with gift cards from work. The zip pull on my current one has broken through one of the two layers, plus the gold feet are quite worn ... so I bit the bullet. It is a pouch style, so I plan to use my old Tod's card organizer, and see if it's sufficient or I need a second one. I will have this one restored, but I have to have one to use. Let me find a picture ...

In other news, I got my hair cut over the weekend! Because my last haircut was in January, he couldn't tell much from the existing lines and apparently I didn't describe what I wanted well. At least it's shorter. I haven't styled it yet myself, but the top layers are definitely way too long.

Thank you! I've already worn the dress a lot despite being back to working from home. Same goes for the cardigan which acts as outerwear ATM since none of my coats fit and I still haven't gotten around to buying a new coat (or boots, or the bag, for that matter). Knitting is so soothing, and it is very fulfilling to be able to achieve something while sitting on the couch (which is where I spend most of my spare time these days..). And it is so satisfying being able to make something for your own wardrobe.

Nice wallet. How is the size? A bit hard to tell from the picture.

Shame about the haircut. Hope you've gotten used to it by now.

Stopped by to report a fashion tragedy! My Ganni leopard dress shredded under one arm. I knew the fabric was delicate when I bought it (silk/cotton voile), but I expected it to last a bit longer! I love leopard, it feels a bit like armor. I have a new leopard T (grey on ivory), but it's not the same ...

Shame about your Ganni dress. I have had issues with their quality as well - feels like their items have gotten both more expensive and the quality worse.. I never by their viscose crepe e.g. Can the dress be fixed? Nice stitchfix purchases - looks very WFH oriented.

I ordered the coat but think I have to get it in a bigger size. Also tried on the doc martens boots but having a hard time to decide on the size. I was a EU36 pre-pregnancy and the 36 is definetely too small. The SA said that they generally run small and recommended me going all the way up to a 38, and while the 37 was a bit snug, I am just not sure whether going up to sizes is a good call. Did manage to buy a new dress though - was planning to buy the black/white but ended up with a brown/white instead to mix it up a bit (crazy, I know )

I don't think it can be fixed. The shredding runs for several inches. I could potentially have something different, like a skirt, made from the fabric ... but do I need to go to all that trouble? I'm 'torn' It feels like I just bought it ...

Agreed--everything but the tote and pants work beautifully for WFH. I'm carrying the tote right now, and it seems to work a little better than my purse ... plenty of room for a water bottle and extra mask, small shopping bags, etc.

You've probably heard that your feet will expand. I think everyone's do with time, but pregnancy speeds it along? That's my theory anyway I definitely wear a bigger size than I did in college, and I don't have any bunions or anything like that (though my mother and aunt do). Can you wear the 38 with an extra pair of socks if need be?

Shame about the dress really. I can see how altering it can be a bit of a hassle, I guess it depends on the design.

My feet are definitely larger, which is part of the reason I need new boots. Whether my new size is permanent seems to be 50/50 (according to my survey among friends and family members with kids ). My mom wears the same shoesize as she did pre-pregnancy. After trying the boots on again I will definitely need the 3 . Will supplement with a sock or insole if neccesary late .

The tote looks really nice and sounds like a perfect size.

too bad about your shredding dress, ta-ta... I hope you can find a good use for the remaining 'good' fabric... I like that tote a lot as well! and all your other purchases seem very practical & neutral, but with a very 'you' twist

came in here to say that a skirt I got from Uniqlo U has been the absolute MVP this last month -- it's a denim pencil skirt, and I would associate neither denim nor pencil skirts with comfort, but this one is like wearing sweatpants. it comes to slightly under my knee, and looks good with tall boots but also with the other MVP I got, ankle boots by moma. I've worn it with a thin navy jumper and with a cozy mustard mohair-ish knit (got it in 2012 and still going strong) -- I just now remembered some lovely tights with a chevron print, and I bet they'll look good as well with some black top & my black lace-up shoes I got last year.

Such a nice skirt, I am impressed a denim skirt can be that comfortable! Sounds really cute with the mustard cardigan.

The dresses has been absolute life-savers (both the stripe on and the black broderie anglaise). I am really happy that I have been able to get buy without buying any maternity wear (except for leggings and stockings). I haven't started the vest yet - I wont be able to wear it at this point, so I am waiting until I know my post-pregnancy size (assuming that I will have any time to knit after the baby is born). I am working on another cardigan (brown) and also made myself a new beanie - as well as some things for the baby.

Have been shopping quite a bit since my last post

- A black bodycon mock turtleneck dress, which I have been living in since it arrived
- Brown/burgundy and white gingham dress, which also have been a favourite (pretty much alternating between that, the black broderie anglaise, the black bodycon and the brown/white stripe dress these days)
- Black doc martens leonore boots. So happy that I got these now and didn't wait until postpartum - they are so comfortable.
- The ACNE musubi mini, which I have been eyeing for a few months, as a first job post uni/maternity leave/work bonus gift for myself. Unfortunately not the best experience so far as I had it for no more than two days before the inner button fastening had started loosening from the leather. I was offered a repair but when I came to pick it up the repair was visible which I don't think is good enough considering the short amount of time since I bought it. Luckily I was offered a new bag, so fingers crossed that this wont happen again. I have several items from ACNE that has held up for years (my ACNE scarf is from 2014 and I wear it every day 9 out of 12 months every year, and it is still going strong), so I was quite surprised.

Furthermore, I got married at city hall three weeks ago I wore this white broderie anglaise dress, the black glitter Stine Goya boots I bought during the summer, and my leather jacket. The earrings was bought for the wedding as well.
