Designers Switching Houses & Moving to New Brands

Can we talk more about what Phoebe is up to?
Hermes???
Please someone make it happen, Nadege needs to go
It looks good on the paper but too obvious. I would rather see Haider there...
And I feel like she would be too big for Hermes.

I would love to see her do Haute Couture but I don't see her coming back so soon.

Where is Christopher Bailey!!???

What happens to Claire Waight Keller tho? She having been active on IG since August. I think she can be amazing at Burberry, Louis Vuitton or Hermes. I think she will be amazing in a house that more jet-set, lifestyle brands rather Than rich fashion heritage brands even tho I love her Givenchy.

Non-compete agreement clause.
She can’t be amazing for all those houses but maybe we will see her soon.

I think that like Frida Giannini, she would be good for an Italian leather goods house...Or Burberry. Her menswear at Givenchy wasn’t convincing but why not?!

Wow complete forgot about Frida. Kinda sad nobody take another chance on her. Maybe because her Gucci is very Tom Ford-lite. Maybe she should come and help Tom right now because the current TF is also TF-lite. TF loyal customer told me that she would not buying anything of his current SS21.
As for Claire Givenchy, I obsessed with her couture and pre-collections yet never understand her woman wear and campaigns. She failed maybe because she is not a hype designer to able to create an It item every seasons.

YES please someone hire Haider. He is such a brilliant designer.

I love him with all my heart but he is such a "free spirit" he can't pull his sh*t together with his own brand let alone with the other. I'd see him at Hermes as he has proven himself working with lots of leather during his tenure at Berluti. As for Burberry it can be anyone, even broomstick would be more suitable for that poor old fashion house.

Haider Ackermann would also be an interesting choice for Hermès.

Claire and Frida are exactly in the best place for them both to be: in the oblivion!

Frida was only an accessories designer when Tom was at Gucci. Maybe the one Tom needs is Alessandra Facchinetti.
I’m a loyal TF customer and tbh, it’s the contrary for me. I see myself buying some of the SS21 pieces rather than the FW 2020 collection. Only the eveningwear was solid in the current collection.

But yes, Tom needs someone to refresh his vision.

Frida did an interview recently with WWD and expressed her dream to work for either Hermès and Chanel. A quite juicy interview btw.

Michael Bastian is headed to brooks brothers as creative director it seems

Fendi going from Silvia to Kim Jones does not a peaceful transfer of power make.

What a shame. I like her aesthetic and she has left an identifiable mark on Chloe which is something that not many young designers can do. I’d say it’s a mistake on their part to let her go but given how insipid, unexcited fashion is these days, it’s hard to give a damn anymore.

Her S/S 2019 collection goes down as one of my favourite Chloé collections of the 2010’s but I imagine the execs didn’t appreciate her bold designs and asked her to tone it down for the boring consumers...
