US Elle February 2021 : Jennifer Lopez & Maluma by Micaiah Carter

'Elle's first-ever solo male cover star' as if that actually matters, lol.
And he's sharing the cover with Jennifer so don't act like it's such a bold move. Bet it's digital-only.

Just as well, because everything about the cover is annoying.

I have undoubtedly came across more flawless images of Jennifer Lopez over the years, and the cropping of the newsstand cover is questionable but those photographs with the hills in the background are rather gorgeous! It's also a worthy mention that Chris Appleton is a hair genius.

It's a flip cover; Jennifer Lopez on one side, Maluma on the other.

So Vogue tried to one-up Elle's Kamala Harris cover and failed; Elle tried to one-up Vogue's Harry Styles cover and similarly failed. lol
The flip issue had Maluma's editorial and story and...that's it. I didn't expect them to do an Elle Men-style issue but the whole thing was so odd.

Wow normally Nathaniel Goldberg is able to produce something with a bit of atmosphere. This all just looks flat. Only interesting thing about these shots (besides Birgit’s beauty) is that all those normally busy streets are virtually empty.
