Celebrity Houses #2

I wouldn't want to buy Armie's house, not unless the police completed a full and thorough investigation on the entire property. Last thing I'd want is to stumble across the remains of a young woman.

Agreed about Armie’s house. Shame he taunted such a beautiful house in such a beautiful neighborhood.

Absolutely love Troye’s house, because it doesn’t feel super designed.

Armie's house sold for $4.7M (asking price was $5.8M), which is a little bit less than what Armie & Elizabeth paid for it two years ago.

 STOP! he lived there with his wife and I kind of believe that she didn't know anything. Besides, it was not murder what he was into.. just cannibalism (there's a difference!).

Too many things happening at the Taylor-Johnson's house but I like that it looks like they actually spent time there, love the not-so-perfect raised gardening beds, and the amount of green on the walls.

I hope some publication eventually gives proper coverage of Elsa Hosk's Richard Neutra house in Pasadena.. she really lucked out getting that and made it even nicer.

I love that Mila and Ashton’s house is quite moody and dark, especially when contrasted with 99% of the new builds going up around LA, but the whole distressed barn wood look isn’t for me and I think it’s kind of played out. It looks beautiful in some rooms and in others it’s just too much. I also think don’t like it when incredibly expensive suburban homes try to look “rustic” and such. In their case they had such good architects and enough of a budget to pull it off but I just know their home going to inspire some very ugly copycats.

Absolutely loathe what she’s done to this house. There are some individual elements and pieces I like, but the overall effect is madness. The yard is huge and enviable, though.

I’m pleasantly surprised by Taylor’s taste.

Love Kirsten's home. Love her. It's not necessarily all my taste, but I really appreciate her idiosyncratic style. So many celebrity homes are so cookie cutter and "designed." They rarely feel personal. Her's does. And it doesn't surprise me in the slightest! Such a chic woman.

@MulletProof Didn't realize Elsa Hosk ended up in South Pasadena! I grew up not even 5 minutes from her home. My family is still in the area. South Pasadena and Pasadena are really some of THE best cities in all of California - and in my opinion, the entire US. Totally idyllic places. They're like stepping into the past. A very, very nice place to live and to raise kids.

I like seeing Taylor's collection of blue and white transferware china. Reminds me of my childhood...my mother has a collection of HUNDREDS of blue and white pieces.

No surprise that John's house and decor is excellent. Breathtaking.

^ really? I don't think I even have a clear idea of Pasadena.. never went there while living in LA. Oddly enough, I have family there too, but the kind you don't visit lol. I do loooove the old school areas of LA, or should I just say Hancock Park, the rows of houses that seem stuck somewhere between the 1920 and 70s. One of the things I love about Richard Neutra's house is that you can see the influence of Frank Lloyd Wright on his work.. mostly just the way Frank played with ceiling height (Hollyhock House), making things feel a bit more compact and cozy in one area and then open and grand in the next one.

There are pictures of her house prior to the sale and I think she's done a fantastic job.. she brought it back to present, made it more youthful and hers without erasing the essence of the house. There are some super cliché pieces (the freakin' Sottsass mirror, the Jeanneret chairs) but you can tell she genuinely loves design, is playful about it and that she actually picked these pieces (celebrities being clueless on camera about how and why their interior designer arranged things a certain way, or being surprised about items in their own house is just.. major pet peeve! they look like such morons incapable of taste).

From her ig..
