i really don't think the construction and the fit is up to the usual standards at the designer level...reminds me of what happened this season at jil sander...ill-fitting clothes...

who even owns the company at this point?...

Claude had to sell out , due to his illness - mental state , after the suicide of his wife - Wallis Franken .

The company was bought by a French businessman who put a new designer to work .

The designer is ( or was ) Stephane Parmentier .

If you check Firstview , I don't think that there have been any other collections , certainly not shown on the runway .

The men's line is licensed out to an Italian company , and their have been one or two collections , but shown on a stand at Pitti Uomo .

I really would be grateful to hear if anyone out there knows any more about poor Claude than this .

Oh wow. I had never heard of him before but I am in love with this! The weight and sculptural quality of the...sweaters(?) underneath the jackets. it looks like wool or felt or something, maybe felted wool :>. The first few are my favorites.
Thank you brian!

Thank you brian!

Unfortunately , this collection is not the work of Claude Montana ( see the other thread on him ) , but the work of Staphane Parmentier . Good , but not a patch on the glory days of Montana in the 80s and 90s .

Thanks for the photos , Brian :flower:
