how do u make your boots comfy?

I bought knee-high boots with 3 1/4" heels. I love them to death because they look soo good with everything but they kill my feet! I dont know what to do, I can't wear them unless I'm sure that I'll be sitting all the time. I've had them for awhile so I dont know if that whole "you have to break into them" applies to my boots. I really wanna use these as often as possible but they are just way too painful any tips/suggestions???
