For 2014 the best is Daria, followed closely by Lara, Jennifer and Anne. Daria's cover looks absolutely breathtaking in person. The worst was Gaga's 2 covers. God knows why she always gets 2 covers in a year! Glenda sure loves her a lot, or she sells for them.
I'm very anxious to see how the model covers performed on the newsstand.

Still cannot find Jennifer Aniston's cover, but I guess it's too soon.

Actually if they didn't use those huge size fonts, the cover looks decent. The layouts are horrible tho

The only decent one was Lara's. I'd include Linda's but that cover didn't actually exist.

MON, thanks for starting this HB thread :flower:

As much as i loathe the direction Glenda has taken this magazine, it's still interesting to have a visual timeline, charting it's rather painful departure further and further from it's forward-thinking, trend-setting design legacy...

thus far Linda's messy if not avant-garde pile-o sweaters cover and Selena's playful and relatively airy, teenVOGUE meets VF robin's egg blue cover, are the best of the bunch.

and lest you ever forget, HB's cover lines reminds us every month that FASHION and BEAUTY is featured in every issue! WOW!

My eyes sore... What a waste of paper.

Having Gaga two times in 2014 is an evidence of how out of the loop they are.

Bazaar have had a pretty decent year this time around, liked them all except for Lady Gaga's March cover by Terry Richardson. Daria Werbowy's cover sure was a knock-out and then to have both Lara Stone and Kate Moss each score a cover afterwards, I thought it was great for the magazine. Celebrity wise I still think Kate Winslet's is gorgeous, made it clear in the thread I thought highly of Katy Perry's and I liked the festiveness of Anne Hathaway's.

Thank you MON for compiling the covers for our viewing!

You're most welcome guys!

I think Daniel Jackson does wonders for this magazine! His Daria, Lara, Kate, Drew, Gwyneth and Christy covers are all fantastic! His cover shots are fresh and inviting! I think they should go with Jackson and Akrans for their covers and leave Terry, Sokolsky ++ out of the way

Compared to their archives (even their 1980s covers) these covers are such a travesty. I'm sorry. :alien:

Even though Vogue is beyond dull, their covers make at least some sort of rational sense to me. So many terribly cropped photos with boring backgrounds here.

Wow, that's the most horrible bunch of covers i've ever seen.
Why all the close ups? And I can't believe they keep employing Terry.

My fave is Lena's. Just for the fact that it's shot by a decent photographer. The only one this year.

The Natalie Portman cover is a disaster. Glenda should be ashamed so does the art director.

My favorite is Anna Ewers'. It's a sexy cover!

Crikey, the first thing I notice is the excessive text. And it's quite futile too because the same lines are recycled over and over again - says a lot about the HB woman, lol. The best of the lot is Lena, who I actually hated on it's own, yet here it looks more superior. The worst is Rihanna, Katy and Kate. I see May, Jun, and Jul are all blue backdropped covers? God, these people are shameless.

I don't mind generic covers; I think there's real skill behind the creation of a successful cover formula, such as US Cosmo back in the day (or decade). But more often than not, it's easy to slip into staleness, which many magazines do, from time to time, before they shake themselves up, but I don't think I've seen a relentless slump as bad as US Bazaar.

White background... blue background... pink background... FASHION.

Personally, I just wish they'd stop with the irregular size. Just be US A4 and be done with it. It adds nothing. I do like the clean design inside, but there's nothing about it that couldn't be accomplished on US A4. It's not like they're using that extra margin of page to squeeze in yet more creativity. They're just being awkward, in the hope that it'll 'set them apart' on the newsstand.

I like March, August and December/January best! All are better than even one of US Vogue's 2015 covers!!

Whoops! I liked April and not March along with August and December/January.
