Liu Wen

Liu Wen looks impeccable, powerful and super chic in that look. You can just feel her energy. I want to be friends with her.:santa:

Some things to keep in mind

Was allegedly in Paris during London fashion week, a project could’ve taken place = editorial/cover

The London shoot = editorial/cover (wearing Bottega IIRC)

She was definitely in Paris early-mid November for a job (also confirmed from Elite Paris) = think a campaign

Working with Alex Slavycz, creative director in China, on a project via instagram = could be anything, maybe Tory Burch

Currently is/was in Thailand = short vacation or work (could be the above with Alex given the time frame)

She was all over China these past several weeks. Domestic work always in the pipeline = we could expect Erdos and Dazzle sooner than later

Possible shoots during fashion month that we don't know about

Liu has yet to cover V China = wonder if they eyed that

Vogue China somewhere in 2024 (if VUK/VP/VI ain’t happening)

A Meisel project needs to happen too. Especially with her new haircut make her "ugly/unconventional" in heroin chic, distressed manner or grunge or punk styling/characters (Society/Elite has the connections to make this happen, no?)

Forget to emphasize as the guest editor for her Vogue+ issue. Totally makes up for no Vogue China in 2023.

"With over 30 ad campaigns ranging from Chanel, Bottega Veneta, Givenchy, Alexander McQueen, Versace, Bulgari, L’Oreal, Olay and Gucci; 35 runway appearances with 1 opening and 6 closings; a dozen of covers appearing on American Vogue, W Magazine, Pop, and Chinese editions of WSJ, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, T Magazine, W and Vogue+ as guest editor. And back in the public spotlight at Oscar’s Vanity Fair and among Met Ball’s best dressed."

She's currently in France. Probably gonna be another campaign like how last summer was. Some fancy it's a cover/editorial. Personally think it's option A but would be terrific if it's the latter.

If the London shoot really was Phelan, then likely a good/promising sign too. Have a feeling.

Prada, Fendi, Dazzle and Erdos all released their SS24 campaigns and surprise, surprise, Liu Wen fronts them all.

Wow, if she gets more big campaigns that would be fantastic. Have a hunch she’ll get a French brand too. If not personally am fine because Fendi will already look good on her resume despite walking twice only (+ front row and appearances). Congrats!

A major Vogue cover next please. :magic:

Anyway, she was in south China like 10 days ago. Travelling back and forth to Beijing and Shanghai as of now.

Actually it was in the Paris that she was spotted 10 days ago. Surprise again!

Sorry, I had wuzzled the mention of the trip to Sanya with the following photos (Paris).
Happy for her landing Fendi finally, which might suggest a connection with Shelley. Hope she can get in touch with some other emerging CDs besides the “sacred” PG-Ashley-Bitton trio in the next few seasons.

^ It’s okay. Yeah, sorry for the confusion of the pictures should’ve posted those during my Dec 19th post but didn’t think it was necessary at that time. Just a quick word of update.

Ditto on Durkan. I’d also include Lange, Midland, Valentini and co… or perhaps, she can get around the CD by other means, like the designer/stylist or the suits. Whoever got her these jobs are the GOAT.

This sneak peek could be from her Sanya trip (or Shanghai?) :

Well she has so many things that weren’t posted during 2023 throughout. Oh well. Find them on Weibo or Instagram. :flower:

Forget to add Ben Grimes who apparently cast her for Pop Magazine which was great IMO. Grimes’ current shows aren’t top tier so it’s fine as of now (but Durkan, Lange, Chandler, Notcutt, etc. are the ones to watch too).

Though I feel her agencies will/does have the upper edge and get creative. Good luck to her this upcoming season.

It seems Meisel shot the Fendi campaign… if true, this a great news (ideally a proper editorial would already be in the works hearken the days when he worked with a crop of girls multiple times on various projects for months – though knowing Liu isn’t a favorite doubt we’d see that). Hope there’s more to come…

Wonder if she skipped the British Awards for a Fendi campaign with Steven. If this was shot in his studio, presumably New York, then it’s probable and would line up with Wen’s presence in USA (walking Balenciaga in LA then fly to NYC for the ad in the time constraint she had). Perhaps that was the situation.

Thought she’d pop up during couture so it’s good to see her walking sooner than later (and yet again, stealthy). Still very exciting where she’ll walk next even if some are repeats.

Cool to see her first, proper OG ed for British Vogue. Nice that she appeared once under Edward’s legacy.

Don’t think the March issue will comprise of models… though the smallest glimmer of hope is that Liu worked with Steven on Fendi… and if Meisel is the last designated photog for the remaining issue, think her chances are a bit higher but she’s already in Feb’s issue, why would she even be on March’s cover. What is the theme anyway, if there’s one.

While think it’d be better if she shot for Chioma’s VUK, think her solo ed is a good start (re)introducing Wen to its audience, setting her up for a cover for months/years to come.

It seems she’s been in Spain these past days. What could it possibly be… Hope it’s a spring/summery editorial cover shoot. Sounds exciting, nevertheless.

No Chanel or Schiaparelli and think she missed Alaia so now wonder if that means no other runways. Unless she walks Fendi (but would rather see her at FW24 RTW). Maybe JPG? Not sure about Jacquemus.

Meisel indeed shot Fendi in the studio. This sounds tiring but hope there’s more work between them by the sound of Liu’s enthusiasm.

She arrived back to China a couple days ago. Yeah didn’t want to believe it but her absence from couture was bound to happen knowing the possibility she’ll have to be in Shanghai for Madame Tussauds (presuming that is on her schedule and prepping for that).

According to the IP address of her newest weibo post, she has been back to France, and her Madame Tussauds Shanghai statue wearing Givenchy.
