AUGUSTA ALEXANDER, the Social Media Darling
He might not yet be a household name, but don’t be surprised if you start hearing a lot about Augusta Alexander. This young, fresh face male model hailing from Vienna is taking social media by storm, and with his chiseled Adonis looks, piercing blue eyes and ridiculous body, who can blame us? We got to have a bit of one on one time with the lovely Augusta to get to know the person behind the photos.
Hi Augusta! Can you tell us how you were first scouted as a model?
About a year ago, after being approached by many people on the street several times asking me if I wanted to become a model, I decided to give it a try and I looked up various agencies and made an appointment with « Wiener Models ». They signed me and things got started from there and it has been an amazing ride so far.
Apart from modelling, you’re also a student. What are you studying now?
I am a senior. I am going to a trade school right now, majoring in mechatronics. Pretty nerdy, right?
You have quite a strong following on social media. What do you enjoy about social media apps like Instagram?
I signed up on Instagram just six months ago with about 200 followers and now I have more than 100,000 followers. I like to show people a more personal side of me, let them know what I am up to and what I like. I appreciate all the love and it’s pretty easy to interact with others via IG.
What do you love about living in Vienna?
Vienna is such a great city. I love the history, cultural variety, music, great food, people, no wonder it’s one of the best places to live in. Austrians and especially Viennese people have their very own sense of humor, « Wiener Schmäh », nothing compares to that, trust me.
What are some of the things you love doing when you’re not modeling?
I like to work out, a guy’s gotta keep in shape. Then hang out with my family and friends. The busier I get, the less time I have for them unfortunately, so I have the make sure to get some quality time in with them. Since this is my senior year, I definitely have to use my spare time for studying. I want to get good grades and keep my options open. I can’t depend on my face and body to provide for a family in the future for the rest of my life.
Can you share with us one of your mottos?
Do it with passion or not at all. Then everything you’ll do will be like a dream come true.
If you were a superhero, what would be your super power and what would you use it for?
I am Batman, but don’t tell anyone.
What are 3 things you can’t live without?
Vienna, my Gym and my family.
