Burberry 'Hero' Fragrance 2021 : Adam Driver by Mario Sorrenti

^ right, I did watch Girls the first seasons and he was positively gross, 90% due to his character (you know, a 24/7 gamer/slob who lives surrounded by trash, farts and burps every other minute, experiences sex through a poorly honored porn addiction and on top of that, is dating his vertically-challenged female equivalent ). I honestly missed on how he transitioned so that some of us who did watch the show are able to completely disassociate character from actor (maturity, aging, body, landing solid projects, who knows) but.. I even buy that he smells like perfume now, which is wild.

He will never be Tom Cruise cause Tom Cruise has never been hot. Men who look like boy band members are so terribly boring..

This looks good to me.. the shot of him pulling the horse's hair is hilarious but I guess it's the equivalent of women going through the kama sutra for 'pose' inspiration in advertisements lol.

'Tom Cruise has never been hot'? You don't know what you're talking about.
Tom Cruise was literally at his hottest during the Magnolia era. Even if you don't like the whole clean-cut All-American vibe, you can't deny that.

Do agree regarding Adam Driver pulling the horse's mane like that. It's very clearly supposed to be some sort of 'knight in shining armour' type soft-core p00rn fantasy for boomer gays and housewives. But I'm sure the gym bros will also like it because he looks aspirational & they already like him because of Marriage Story. This looks straight-up like a campaign for People's SMA 2022.

British guys who should have been considered for this? Matt Smith or Idris! I'd add Josh O'Connor too but he's a Loewe ambassador.
And of course you went for the Bridgerton guy, as I've said before....you're that girl. :ninja:

I’m living for the thread lol
for some weird reasons these replies give me a strong vibe of male privilege (you considered hot guy when you have muscle)
At the same time how male is not subject to the same diverse body type movement enjoyed by female
Anyway don’t mean to offend anyone just find it funny

^^^ Well yes— it’s obviously my opinion and my personal preference when I find a man with a hard-worked body to be ideal. Someone may find an overweight body, or an extremely thin body on a man (or a woman) to be their preference: And hopefully they’ll voice that opinion. Odd how opinions and personal preferences, and the expression of such nowadays seem to be considered “male privilege” (...cuz women apparently can’t train hard and possess a strong fit, muscular body…LOL)

Absolutely. And despite all that, there was something undeniably riveting about him. And now that he’s shown that he cleans up impressively well, he’s also shown that he’s not this caricature of masculinity either, like some Jersey Shore guido (…or Tom Cruise LOL).

Mario is able to somewhat translate his brand of smoulder he showers over his female subjects to Adam here: It’s still cheesy and reeks of cheap Harlequin Romance pulp— but they’re targeting the masses, and the type of women that get easily hot and bothered over crap like 50 Shades, so I get it. Still doesn’t diminish the fact that Adam is just so naturally red-blooded hotter than all the Brad Pitt/Ryan Reynolds/Chris Evans put together. He has this easygoing vibe that although I’ve never met him— feels like the same vibe that someone like Edita gives: She’s unspeakably and naturally gorgeous of course, but also such a gentlewoman and kind person.

Oh apologies. It is not meant to about anybody’s personal preferences about physical attraction, which is a very personal issue.
It is more about how man can be ‘saved’ from unconventional look by being muscular and it generally seems to be a genuine praise rather than some social political commitment. Thus the privilege comment.
At the same time there seems to be little to no representation or care for men who aren’t really interested to build themselves accordingly. This ‘issue’ is rather predominate in the POC male representation and queer space which is having its noticing presence in the media.
You see the contrast for men (especially white men) being praised for existence solely for them exist, even surpass their criminal behavior in some cases. And women being generally put down for their look despite we are having a lot of social political debate about it. And POC who get to fit in and who doesn’t based on their masculinity. Even though there are so many gender neutral moment in pop culture now it is not for POC male.

Matt Smith is the Paloma Elsesser of acting, just there to make the other incel-looking guys feel good about themselves, no way he would've gotten away with that mane shot, he would've been accused of mistreating animals lol. Idris is a dad, and Josh O'Connor looks way too much like an ex, I'll never be on board with him.

That awful series won't follow Rege for too long, I think he has actual movies coming out.. we'll see the perfume ads until then.

I admit, I think Adam Driver is a total babe and he looks so damn hot here:brows:.

That said, the design of the bottle, name and logo are so nondescript. Burberry in 2021, basically.

That shot from GQ Germany is probably the single most flattering photo I've ever seen of him.

I'll take this ad over Jake's for Prada. I think he's gorgeous. He could be hotter than any flat centennial kid. Look at girls like Jamie Bochert, she's beautiful and her beauty it's so odd (sorry if that's a terrible word, my english is too short), but works so well. Girls don't need to be Claudia Schiffer and guys don't need to be Brad Pitt. Thank God the meaning of beauty is more diverse now.
