Styling and/or Photo Assistants and/or Fashion Journalists Needed for Web Magazine / NYC

So, you're wanting to break into fashion styling or photography, but you don't have any great contacts and your portfolio looks like a 14 year old's MySpace page. You want to learn styling and media production and fashion industry basics and build a portfolio you can use to get paying work...

We've got no budget, are understaffed, and are a startup with limited name recognition outside the business. However, we've got access to over a hundred NY designers and dozens of showrooms, a team of really skilled photographers who do shoots several times a week both for our magazine and for commercial clients, and whatever we shoot that looks right gets published.

We need people to do garment pickups and returns, help out on shoots, and do research for articles. It would be great if you can commit to spending at least one day a week working with us on a regular basis, and two would be fantastic.

Working with a big magazine you'll be doing similar stuff, just less hands on and more drama. We've very anti-drama. modaCYCLE is about fashion as art, not gossip or celebrities. If you want a name on your resume, go with the giants. If you want to learn and contribute and get credits on shoots, this is the gig.

Working with us you'll build your book and learn a ton, and if you do good work our photographers will hire you to help out with their paid gigs.

You must be available on weekdays, you must have a reliable cell phone, and you need to be willing to start at the bottom and pay your dues.

Winter editorials and features are in production right now. New York Fashion Week is coming up fast as well.

Hello everyone!
I'm a Japanese fashion designer looking for female models for a photo shooting in Kobe, Japan. Models should be slim and 165cm tall or above (preferably over 170cm), there is no need for prior experience. The designer was on Vogue! We make creative high fashion clothes, and it's not p*rn*gr*phy or something. Of course, you don't need to be nude, so don't worry and feel free to contact us if you have a slight interest in this

Thanks!

Hi and welcome to the Fashion Spot!

I'd like to clarify the work you do, for any interested models:

That link to your work is to overstock dot com ... a pair of boots. Is that your line? Or was that a mistake? If it's not your line, please post a correct link and I can edit the post for you.

Thanks!
