Homosexuality in Fashion Advertising Campaigns

That is a gorgeous photo of Karen Elson! Wow, she looks flawless!

Fashion ads are so sexless that any kind of sexuality seems impossible.

The Gucci Envy ad I posted features Frankie Rayder on the left and Adriana Lima (pretty sure) on the right.:flower:
Alas no, that's a guy Frankie Rayder's swapping spit with.

And I agree with Purple, it's ironic how some of Abercrombie's ads are so homo-erotically charged, and pretty obviously too, and yet they maintain a mainstream clientele.

i think that these sort of ads appeal to people because its something shocking but at the same time its really not. of course to many people it may come across as "disgusting" instead of what many people call homo-erotic, and in a different aspect its very controversial. i guess the designer is trying to appeal to every type of person. get people to notice. and of course, that is doing quite well. lol. :D particularly Gucci, which each season, portrays something completely different, the difference may be miniscule. but usually it's quite noticeable.

Gucci adds are always playing with some kidn of sexuality.

with the Steve Miesel shoot, the whole point was kind of 'gender f*ck'.

Male fashion adds usually have more homosexual undertones, wich makes sens considering a lot of homosexual men do buy designer clothes, it's all about marketing, Gucci wouldn't do soemthing unmarketable.

I was actually quite surprised by Gucci this season, even though they've been one of the labels that have become known for using homosexual imagery between men, it was just so blatant this time around.....not that I'm complaining.
