i have a lovely cat ..
he is sweet and friendly and playful...
he has lovely subtle stripes and what looks like permanent eyeliner, which i love..

:P...

the problem is...
he is cuddly...:rolleyes:

now...
cuddly would not normally be a bad thing...
in fact....it would usually add to the overall loveliness of said kitty...

however!!!...

i WEAR BLACK...LOTS and LOTS of black!!!...
:ninja::ninja::ninja:
and while he is mostly black...
he is not entirely black...
making his cuddling a source of constant concern...
( i have resorted to carrying a lint roller in my hand bag! and have them scattered throughout the house as well...)

just before getting this cat i lost my lovely little kitty who had been with me for almost 20 years...
HE was BLACK!!!...

soooooooo,.....

i am thinking...
how can i dye my current kitty black too...?!?!
:woot::woot::woot:

does clairol make some sort of non toxic dye that i can bathe mr kitty in once a month...???
would that be considered animal cruelty???...
i am sure i can do it without hurting the cat...
maybe just his pride...
:P

so...
maybe this could be a whole new product line...
kitty dye baths???...
or open a fur salon perhaps...
i think i'm really on to something here...!!!
:lol::lol::lol:

who's with me!!!....??...!!!...???

:meow:

lullz i'm not sure if this is a joke or not, but some would consider it animal cruelty (i vaguely remember ppl being angry about dying bunnies for Easter--angry enough that it made it into the news, heh). but really white to black isn't a traumatic transition, the cat probably wouldn't even notice.

I just had to check out this thread based on the title alone! :lol:

First of all, I have to say that I am very envious that your cat is so cuddly...my bunny never gets cuddly with me, unless he wants a little treat. :angry:

Anything that is used on your cat's hair will likely get ingested by him, so food colouring is a safe bet, but I don't know if there's black food-colouring out there? Or maybe you can check with your cat's vet/groomer to see if they know of any vegetable-based dye?

where is PETA ?
a pet is not an access. you have to match to your look ...

..........
:rofl::mohawk:
seriously i never thought such a thread would ever exist onto tfs ...
:lol:

I hope this is a joke ??? Please, do not dye your cat!! I don`t know what else to say about this..only good thing I find is that you realize you can`t use hair colours etc. But please, let your cat be as he/she is.

***PLEASE get a sense of humour and realize when something is a JOKE...****

:lol:...

berlin got it...
:wink:

i think i will put some straps on the kitty after i dye him...
or maybe some gold chains so i can carry him over my arm like a handbag!...
the ULTIMATE fur accessory...

:P

i just remembered that there is that spray stuff that they used to advertise on TV for men who are going bald to fill in the bald spot...

maybe that would be easier than trying to dunk him in a vat of dye...:lol:...

* ok kitty...come here and just close your eyes while i spray you*..
:innocent::

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I have seen people dye poodles pink for people's birthday parties. I'm almost certain I saw it on "My Super Sweet Sixteen". I don't how long the dogs lasted afterwards.

I actually thought this thread was going to be about a book I saw a few years ago, where people had artistically dyed their cats. So people are doing it.

Yep, here it is, it was called 'Why Paint Cats?'

Oh god I have the same problem with my dog! He is mostly black apart from a patch of white...the major problem is when I wear my black cords - white hair everywhere! Hmm maybe dyeing would be a good idea :rofl:

thanks for the link tigerrouge...

It won't be long before this thread turns into "How I killed my Cat".

i don't think she's talking about her animal cat, she's talking about her other "cat". just go to a waxer softgrey

^i'm shocked ... :blink:

we don't talk in public of those things with a lady ...
do you think we are in SATC ? even Sam does it in private ... :o

that's not a cat dear....
but then i guess you wouldn't know anything about that..

:rofl: You could always have him shaved; that would also leave room on his body for temporary Swarovski tattoos and the like... :P

It would be unfortunate if your clothes were covered in that sort of hair every day.

This thread's insane!

actually...
speaking of -p*ssy's...:P

remember the show...'are you being served?'...
with mrs sloakem( sp?) and her p*ssy?...

she used to have purple hair and blue hair etc...
and the cat was always dyed to match i think...
does anyone else remember that???...

i have to see if i can find a pic...
that was hilarous...

i still think dying my cat black is better than giving him away...
and black is so CHIC!!!...

^_^

:rofl: You could always have him shaved; that would also leave room on his body for temporary Swarovski tattoos and the like... :P
have you ever touched a bald cat or dog???...
:shock::shock::shock:...

it's weirdly pleasant once you get over the initial weirdness...
:D...

swarovski on the butt...hmmm....
now that IS an idea!...errr...
i may just have one laying around here somewhere...

:ninja::ninja::ninja:
*it was a gift...i swear!....
