The scene: Toronto’s Walter Carsen Centre for the National Ballet of Canada.
“We went with this location because a lovely, light-filled studio with dancers was the perfect setting,” says Susie Sheffman, our fashion director. “While we were shooting, the dancers were doing their final rehearsals for Sleeping Beauty. There was a real buzz in the building.”
“Our model, Irina Funtikova, a competitive rhythmic gymnast, inspired us.”
