Kim Alexis started out in the late 70s. I believe in 1978 - in the then hottest new model mag Italian Harper's Bazaar. She was a big favourite with American Vogue for a few years (1979-1981). Later, she continued to be a favourite with American magazines such as Mademoiselle, Bazaar, Glamour and even Redbook. Kim was an a usual model of the late 70s in the sense that her flawless, cheerful, blonde face was the most coveted look of the day. However, while the late 70s were notoriously decadent....Kim didn't follow that trend. She was brought up strictly and she was devoutly Christian, something even the modeling industry did nothing to change. She has continued to have a somewhat active modeling career and she wrote a book about her life, part of it about her modeling and the trauma she went through when she was modeling with decadent creatues such as Gia (who apparently unsuccessfully hit on Kim).
