Phophie Mathias is of French and Greek origin, her first big break as a make-up artist came in the late 90’s, shooting an YSL campaign, in paris. She then went onto shoot many campaigns with some of the biggest photographers in the world including Guy Bourdin, Helmut Newton,David Seidner then later with Paolo Roversi, Albert Watson, Hans Feurer, Gilles Bensimon .
Phophie is a very well respected make-up artist currently shooting for Vogue, Número, Interview, Elle, Marie Claire, Glamour, Vanity Fair, Grazia . Currently shooting with Michel Comte, Patric Demarcelier, Arthur Elgort,Pamela Hanson, Ellen Von Unwerth, Walter Chin, Max Vadukul, Jan Welters, Mary Rozzi, Sofia and Mauro, Jean Baptiste Mondino, Max Cardelli, Guy Aroch, Lee Broomfield, Sylvie Lancrenon, Bruno Ripoche,Tesh.
The last ten years she developed a very close collaboration with Christian Dior /beauty, for their pr & advertising campaigns. Phophie is also the chef make up artist for Dior at the Cannes film festival.
The celebrities she currently works with are Monica Belluci, Kristin Scott Thomas, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Charlotte Rambling, Uma Thurman, Eva Herzicova, Laetitia Casta, Emanuelle Saignier, Emanuelle Beart, Sophie Marceau, Hillary Swank, Isabelle Huppert, Clare Danes, Jessica Chastain, Hellen Mirren and many others.
