Tamara Ecclestone: Billion $$ Girl is a fly on the wall documentary series featuring heiress and businesswoman, Tamara Ecclestone.

The series follows Tamara, her friends and her family, as she embarks on the busiest six months of her life. From the highs and inevitable lows of her new business ventures to the glitz and glamour of the holidays, parties, charity balls and Formula 1 – this is her world, seen in all its exclusive glory for the very first time.

I watch this. I usually watch it in horror though because of the **** she complains about and the ridiculous amounts of money she just spends on nonsense stuff. Although her trip to Hamleys for the kids of Great Ormond Street was better spent IMO.

I think there are always going to be people in the world who have obscene amounts of money, in circumstances that seem unfair, who put it to selfish use. In those terms, I'd rather see millions being spent by silly girls on handbags than hear of someone using that type of money to purchase landmines.

I expected to be irritated by the show/her but then I thought, why does it bother other people how she chooses to use her money? Her father made that money and how he chooses to spend it is up to him and him alone.

I think she comes across well on the show. Privileged and over-indulged, yes but she seems like she's got a good sense of humour and her hearts in the right place.

Her boyfriend is another matter though - I hope she watches the show back and see's how horrible he is. She could do so much better

Ahhh thanks for the link!!! I was referred here from her style thread. I am going to watch it RIGHT now :innocent:

I've enjoyed watching this to be honest, some of it seems set up, like taking her dogs to Harrods, her assistants and house keepers obviously usually do that! but other things were nice to watch and buying toys for great almond street hospital was good for her and she does seem sensible in some ways!
and people constantly mentioning her money is pointless, we all spend our money as we wish, so why can't she ? she's hardly doing any harm with it, like tigerrouge said.

I'm actually really sad that the show is already over.
I knew it wouldbe short, but 3 episodes  .
I really enjoyed it because it made me discover and love Tamara. She seems to be very fun, nice and definitely not shallow or tacky. Yes she is privileged and can spend 300 000 £ on a yacht just for a week of vacation without even thinking about it but it's normal for her. It's where she comes from. However, with all the money she might have she doesn't loose grip on reality. She seems to be a really down to earth girls. And I appreciate that.
Now I just wish they're gonna make a second season, because I'm hooked.

Watching the show, as much as I cringe at her spending money the way she does; I think it's really sad that the makers of the show had a agenda when editing the scenes. They really wanted to show her as this shallow, self centered, pampered princess. But she came across really well to be honest, she was funny, humourous, didn't take herself too seriously. She loves her family a lot, it's just a shame we didn't see more of her interacting with her friends because the show made it seem like she has none.

I hope there's a second series too.

aw i was just getting into this and it's over already? at first i thought she was going to be like another paris hilton or kim k. and was watching it to get a laugh but she actually seems quite grounded and not shallow (despite her 3x a week hair and nail appointments lol) which in some way still doesn't make her like "them".

Tamara Ecclestone (born 1984) is a model/TV presenter and the socialite daughter of Bernie and his Croatian-born wife Slavica Ecclestone.

After quitting her psychology degree at London School of Economics, Ecclestone worked for her father's F1 magazine: "At the magazine, I was a skivvy. The staff loved bossing me around - they'd tell me to make tea with 57 sugars and then moan it was too sweet." ...After seeking advice from friend Naomi Campbell, she left to work for Armani, but: "They paid me peanuts - £15,000. How could anyone expect me to live on that?"

Tamara is presently presenter of Channel 4's "The Red Bull Air Race World Series." She has formed her own TV production company, and with sister Petra Ecclestone filmed a half-hour pilot of "The Ecclestone Girls" after being approached to make The Simple Life - a British version of the US reality series starring hotel heiress Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Ecclestone is hoping to sell the show with offers and discussions taking place with MTV, E4, and E!, but the show will most likely be placed with ITV/ITV2. The sisters also have plans to introduce a range of fashion products in the future, including sunglasses and watches.
