The cover bellies what strong imagery— and art direction (which I suppose is just the Jean-Jacquer’s talent since art directors and stylists weren’t onset for shoots during that time… Did these roles even existed in the 1970s…???) is hidden within the issue.

Replace the model/styling and "Le Collezioni di Roma” and it could very well be the standard B&W in-studio signature for Meisel’s late-90s-2000s Vogue Italia. The shot of the model in Dorothy Hamill hair and plaid coat looks like that brand of I&V hyper-stylized imagery from The Face late-90s— and all Prada collections to come… And that Valentino campaign is so simple but stunning in all its movement. If only these new overhyped, lessers that are ruling/ruining fashion nowadays would just make the effort to study these imagery for their lack of talent, their work would at least be tolerable :sigh:

(You know, footwear is always the dead giveaway of a specific era. Most will always associate platforms with the 1970s-- but the clunky heels here are actually rather low LOL Wished they had been the high ones since taht would give the overall silhouette that needed HF graphic sharpness. Those stupid oversized, over-designed, overpriced sneakers that have plagued the current era will be looked upon and laughed at in the future for sure: Dumbest fashion offering ever…)

Thank you as always, justaguy!
