WSJ Magazine March 2009 : Bernard Arnault by Mario Testino

i think Dior and Chanel keep themselves afloat with the Beauty products they make. i mean, the profit margin there is insane. then againChanel's Couture is one of the few that actually make steady profits, but i can't shake the feeling that it's those millions of lipsticks and foundations they sell which finance the Couture shows.

Givenchy recently stopped selling their makeup products in Austria, their perfumes are also hard to find. imo not a good business decision, as everyone knows that beauty products are a brand's bread and butter, even before the accesories. (which is why i guess that Vuitton will come out with a fragrance in the next few years. it's only logical.)

Since tFS has already received an Official Notification of Copyright Violation from the WSJ for posting complete articles we had to remove the Being Bernard Arnault thread from D&C. I moved the comments here so you can continue the discussion.

Thank you for understanding.
