Francesca Burns is a stylist living and working in London. Originally a law student, she was encouraged to defect to The London College of Fashion by her History course director, where she went on to study fashion promotion. From there, Burns started assisting William Baker on Kylie Minogue's Fever world tour. She freelanced for two years, assisting leading fashion stylists including Joe McKenna and Jonathan Kaye, shooting for a variety of international publications including W, Italian Vogue, Pop, Arena Homme + and many of the Vogue titles. Burns is now Fashion Editor at i-D magazine.

cool thread! the styling isn't really to my personal taste but i love how she's got this kind of punk badass thing running through all her work....it seems to be done in a really fun, playful way which i like - not taking herself so seriously.... and i love all the colour... really cool... i tend to shy away from bright colours and there's a lot of neon here but she does it well.. there's always some interest and something different to it. the Ohne Titel ed. is my favourite. it seems a lot more serene than the rest of her work, but it's beautiful.

I'm a huge fan of Francesca Burns. I mean this girl can layer. She seems to take into consideration flattering colour schemes as well, my favourite being the Coco Rosa i-D editorial from several years back. Everything complements each other extremely well. She's got a bit of a Westwood touch to her as well, that whole punk aspect, but she manipulates it with her own hands so individiuality trumps influence.
