The Gallery District in New York’s West Chelsea neighborhood has been especially bustling as of late, due in part to the Jean-Michel Basquiat exhibit on display at the Gagosian on West 24th Street. Not surprisingly, the fashion style of recent visitors has leaned eclectic, with a pileup of fun layerings, lots of black and the requisite artist’s accessory: cool sneakers.
