I’ve never understood the covershot: Did they just recreate the Oscar look and Meisel shot it as a paparazzi photo??? The story however, is hauntingly, understatedly supreme. The best ode to Marilyn by far from her. And I believe only Meisel could have captured such spirit so effortlessly without devolving into parody. The man is a master at understanding his subject’s most magical angles. Learn it kidz.
