What Are You Listening to Right Now?

Stereolab is a band I knew in the 90s, but I became a fan just in the past 10 years. This song is so soothing.

Pharoah and Sun Ra are the reasons why I got into jazz. Classy stuff 👌
music is usually what is created or recorded somewhere in the past. so when we are listening to it today, we might mainly perceive the flow of time from the past. as if it flows in one direction.
but music includes reverse current too. it has the flow that drips from the future.
I'm not talking about science. but whether you feel it that way. about a buzz in your heart, as opposed to nostalgia.
sparkle, wonder in your world.
those players are that reminder.

Orbital's "Halcyon", with wacky samples from "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" and "You Give Love A Bad Name."

I hadn't thought about this song in ages (decades??) until I started watching The Dropout last night.
