thank you so much for the scans, buckwheat. loving all the looks. still, i think they could've settled for some other better options for the belgian fashion design cover, like i was asked by a geek-friend of mine, "so raf simons was designing for kraftwerk then? but they are german!"
Disorder Incubation Isolation and Summa Cum Laude are still my dearest RS shows. tThey were also the 1st Raf shows I wittnessed in person...maybe that's why I still love them so much...though I have to say, just after returning from Paree, that the latest show was INCREDIBLE!
Thanks for documenting all this Buckwheat - karma to you
I'm a huge fan of Raf's earlier collections (and yes, now becoming an even bigger fan after his last!) I agree with Tuomas that Summa Cum Laude and Disorder Incubation Isolation were his best ever... together with Black Palms (I was extatic when I managed to buy a vintage Black Palms tee on Ebay two weeks ago!! ). I used to have a few items from his Summa collection but am too old to wear that stuff now... I even bought the crazy white three quarter length sleeveless jacket from the Summa collection - which freaked people out when I walked down the streets here in London! But I sold it on Ebay last year.... Sweet memories...
I'll try to scan some stuff here to put on here later - I have quite a few brochures and catalogues (and boxes and posters...) from the period... vintage stuff by now, I guess, so it would fit on here
