Someone send Doutzen John Oliver's last episode on conspiracy theories.
Watch & Comment Live... The 2024 Met Gala
What? You're saying you personally have a monopoly on facts? Anyone else who doesn't see things the same way is ignorant? Very admirable of you.People who don't know anything are substituting their ignorance for other people's facts. Not really the most admirable thing out there but perfectly acceptable in these times, it seems
Why do we spend so much time cancelling people over nothing when we should be cancelling these spoiled brats?
Firstly, haven't seen you posting on here in ages, Van Persie!
Re Doutzen, I can already tell that she'll be an anti-vaxxer when the coronavirus vaccine eventually rolls out, lol. I've read her IG post and I think what she's saying there is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of what she believes. Who knew the Frisian village girl not only had good looks but can also throw down a good conspiracy theory.
I have heard all sorts of outlandish theories throughout this pandemic. 'The virus was manmade by China in a bid to turn the world upside down', 'the virus was made by big pharma to get all of us hooked on medication and control us with the vaccine', 'the virus was created to decrease the global population because we are too many on this earth.' All of which are of course unfounded in more ways than one and I don't even want to entertain them with a counter-argument. Because when all is said and done, people are still getting infected and dying every day across the globe. So keep your nutjob conspiracies to yourself if only out of respect to the rest of us who don't want to get sidetracked with such drivel.
I wanted to say 'where's Chiara? Let me get Chiara to read her to filth again' but Chiara won't have a leg to stand on because she's too busy vacationing and not social distancing in a country which a month ago saw the highest death toll of COVID victims in the world.
^I've tried reading an article about Rob Goosens (who seems to be some sort of journo) calling her and some other guy 'preschoolers' for these claims. But it was too Dutch for me so I couldn't make head or tail. It also kept referring to RIVM, who is that??
The RIVM is our national institute for public health!
The problem is, there are just as many scientists, doctors and “experts” who have information that tell a very different story, but somehow, the “trust the science, trust all experts” adage doesn’t apply when there are scientists who aren’t in agreement with the official narrative. When they don’t tow the line, a “doctor” all of a sudden becomes a “crackpot.”Doutzen's comments are really confusing...but if she did her due diligence in research then she'd cite actual scientists and experts who have studied, researched, and worked tirelessly to understand, prevent, and cure this virus.
She's sounding very very conspiracy theorist. But what's also disappointing is all the other influential models agreeing with her saying.
I wish these people would visit ICU wards or speak to doctors who are treating COVID-19 patients.
This narrative doesn't even work. Mullet is in the US, where the government IS at odds with the prevailing science around Covid.^^Does it ever cross your mind that there might be truth governments don’t want to you to know about? Or do you just trust whatever they put out and take it all at face value?
