My latest obsession...

Havent posted in ages, but we're on the brink of Fashion Week and IT IS CRAZY as usual.
So Im taking a quick break to post a pic of my latest obsession.Bheart: They come from Davis by Ruthie Davis. I picked up a pair form the Doo Ri show and two more from other sources. I have the yellow pair signed. Thank you Leigh for arranging that! (The Davis showroom has the MOST pleasant staff).

I amobsessed with Alexander Wangs sunniva boots. I wasnt before. They were on sale and i was like should i.. Went a few days and i couldnt stop thinking about them. Of course they were sold out by then. Figures.

these remind me of something junya would do...

was walking by the store recently and saw an amazingly cool and attractive couple in the store...
the girl was trying these on...
she was trying to decide on the colour...

i can't decide which is cooler either...

Jeans. Well made jeans like Rag&Bone, MOTHER etc..preferably in cigarette or straight leg.
Leather pants, leather lookalike pants, big overcoat, in camel color, like Marc by Marc Jacobs Rex coat. I hate that i didnt get it. The size xs was always sold out..
Finding a perfect classic black ankle boots for night time use...suggestions. PM me!! ?

i LOVE mother jeans, esp. the mother looker ankle length. they fit so well. worth every penny. in fact, i'm wearing them now! going to get a new pair soon.

i had a few fluevog's in the 90's. remember there was a craze in the 90's for the angel style? they still have that style on the website. guess its lasted 20 years!

i'm usually not into the heel shape on fluevogs. the curvyness can tend to look a bit eccentric old lady.

i looked on the website at the shoes you posted and the price looked good. i wonder if the quality is still the same. i had a pair i wore faithfully in the 90's and its still alive and kicking today.

I agree with everything you say lucy---
the heel can sometimes be a little too much to be elegant...
so it just veers off into wacky...
not the look i am going for, personally...

that is why i was so surprised by these...
didn't hurt that a gorgeous girl and her gorgeous boyfriend were part of the experience...
she looked a bit like marisa tomei and he looked something like lenny kravitz...
total hotness...


i agree that the pricing is reasonable as well...
can't attest to current quality compared to past pairs though...

they were big even as far back as the 80's...
sort of a partner with docs...

i confess, this is the first pair that i've actually thought i could pull off successfully...
i'm not surprised you still have yours...
my blundstones are similar...
i feel like i will have them forever...
they are so great for snow!

finding a "punk-ish" shoe...

probably should have gotten those fluevogs i had posted above...
......

there are so many shoes i have seen over the years that i probably should have gotten...
limi, junya, westwood, etc...

trouble is i always thought they were not elegant or refined enough...
otherwise they were overly embellished or something...
too pointy, too high...etc...

but now, with all the pointy shoes available, i am thinking i should be able to find something that works...
