The Victoria's Secret Models thread is great - I love it - visit it all the time - all the up to the minute news and great pix - but it's all about now!! VS has been around since the early '80's (Geena Davis did some VS in the early '80s before she became a big star!), and really became big around '89 - '90 - and just kept getting bigger & bigger! And all that time they were using some really great models: stupendous Stephanie Seymour, fabulous Frederique van der Wal, classy Karen Mulder, yummy Yasmeen Ghauri, heavenly Helena Christensen, naughty Naomi Campbell, lovely Linda Evangelista (yes Linda did some VS!), etc, and onward to Heidi & Tyra & Adriana (first appeared in Fall '99), Gisele & Alessandra & & & ..... The list is endless, and it's really a who's who of top models. I though this thread would be a good idea - bringing them all together under one roof. And what constitutes OLD SCHOOL

Thank you very much lavieenrose. I was hoping there'd be some sort of response to this thread. A lot of these models were the superstars of their time - and did it all: runway, editorials, print ads - not just VS undies - and did it all supremely well!!! Back then there wasn't such a disconnect between merely beautiful women models and, very often, not particularly beautiful, if not to say downright homely, vapid haute couture models.
