Right?!Saint Laurent CEO: our clients started to buy CELINE now, snap them back.
Anthony: girl, say no more.
respect .. I was just staring at it like this is my idea of major sartorial discomfort, the kind of items you buy that 100% guarantee a terrible day. A sock or tights that you need to pull up? can't do it in public cause first you need to be in your bra lol (I mean..), getting home and *just* want to take your shoes off? great, now you're in your panties, your heel breaks in the middle of the street? yeah no.I love the pant-boots situation.

This is, as everyone's already said, so Celine it's so cringey.. but I do take notes on this great work strategy!, work with someone that's a great employee but with also happens to have an obnoxious, petulant personality? find a beta with great training who's just happy to get some spotlight, and flush the obnoxious one. This is like a cover band that happens to make better versions of the original songs..
It’s not even classic YSL, it’s just classic French bourgeois style. Neither Hedi or Anthony are reinventing anything. But there’s something about the models and the attitude that are quentessential Hedi.Hedi may have popularised this "look" in recent times but realistically most of this is very 1970's Yves Saint Laurent; the bourgeois-bohemian vibe, the colour palette, the prints, etc. If you look through any of Saint Laurent shows from the 70's and even early 80's, you will be able to see the link. I don't understand why people believe this look is a "Hedi Slimane look", when some of these pieces are identical to looks from Saint Laurent's archive.
Celine the brand was never creating these kind of clothes even throughout the same time period. It may have been vaguely similar on the surface, but in reality it was always more conservative, more toned down, and more mass-market-taste than Saint Laurent.
Also, it is a known fact that Slimane literally copies looks, details, and accessories from the YSL archive at Celine, ie.
