Trends You Are Sick Of #2

The whole "toughening things up" fad. When the average preteens start to wear docs, leather and studs, you know things are heading the wrong way.

The typical high waisted floral skirt with brogues and a white tank top has become a bit of a hipster uniform as well. I have a few floral things myself, but I prefer to spice things up with some peep toe heels and red lipstick for a fifties pin up feel.

I noted the drape/waterfall vests in Post #841. I'm very okay with them. If there's something I'm just not feeling besides the whole boyfriend thing, it's denim jean short-shorts with leggings/tights underneath. I'm not much into denim jean shorts, and especially not boyfriend-style ones with any kind of leggings or tights.

The "jeggings" have to go. Only redeeming quality is that they are more proper pants, since there are those who argue that leggings are not pants. So along comes the "jegging." Really... what makes "jeggings" any different from skinny jeans? I don't get the big deal about those...

Or do you guys mean the leggings that are only made to look as if they were denim and don't even have real buttons or pockets?

Yes that too.

I think it's just that many people don't dress for their size. Many people wear ill fitting things and some to the extent that it looks disgusting. Some people are just not meant to wear skinny jeans and jeggings. and no, I don't hate fat people.

Ok I'll post it again. I've had enough of THESE

I see them a lot here.

Studs are starting to worry me, too.
I don't mind them at all, usually, but when they are used to decorate something like almost for the sake of showering it with studs, i'm kind of put off.
I had to say no to a gorgeous, lace underslip which was literally weighted down at the breast with a sh*t ton of decorative studding.

tucking pants in boot like sandals; skinny jeans; leggings as pants; overdone platforms; floral; leotards as street wear;

I am so tired of seeing camel everywhere, it has been everywhere: catwalk, magazines, street style pictures...And fall hasn't even started yet :ninja:

I feel the same way. I saw a girl today decked out in camel from head to toe. It's just so obvious! I have also been tired of wedges for a LONG time now.

Two toned hair; dramatic or otherwise. Looks lovely in pictures/editorials, but when your moving around it becomes so obvious where your one colour begins and the other ends, like a bad dye job.

Lauren Conrad for example :ninja:

- guys who wear muscle shirts and don't even have any muscles

- raybans (they're soo last year)

- sagging in skinny jeans  how can you possibly sag in skinny jeans?

- vans

- tight fitted shirts on guys! we don't want to see man boobs!

- high waisted shorts that give you camel toes.

Raybans. Raybans. Raybans. Especially now that Primark are selling these awful flip-up Raybans and all my friends have a pair.
Gladiator sandals and flip flops too. I don't really like shoes with no heel at all, they make people look shorter. And unless you're going for the "Son of God" look, stop wearing those hideous sandals. :')

Wedges. Not all of them (although I'm not really a fan), but especially the ones like in this photo:

^ Appropriately enough, the only decent ones are the yellow one and the Balenciaga knock-offs and they aren't even wedges. The leopard print one and the black elastic one are the worst. So tacky.

- 'harem' pants. Flattering on no-one, yes maybe they can look good in photoshoots - but walking down the street, just noooo! And theres also the 'harem sweatpant' stuff they sell here... which really does not look good.

- jumpsuits. Again, not flattering on most people. specially not when you try and squeeze into one 2 sizes too small.

Ooh I sound so negative :P

To tell you the truth.. I'm already SICK of the aviator jackets with the "wool collars"........
